2013 National Stationery Show – Colors Part II – Yellow-Based Greens
Acidic Greens – from Chartreuse to Olive
Yellow-based greens were big at the show, and seem to have gone even more acidic than past years. From bright chartreuses to rich olives, the gold in the green was a favorite theme.
There are few companies who use the color green as well as Rifle Paper Co., and the sumptuous combo of olives and chartreuses on this calendar is just another example of their gorgeous greens.
This silly-fun dino card in chartreuse and navy from Hello!Lucky is perfect for the small fry (or as an old-as-the-dinosaurs reference for that good friend of yours for whom there are never too many “you’re gettin’ old” cards).
Chartreuse—heavy on the yellow—brings the age of matinee gloves into a new era, with this bookmark from Sesame Letterpress.
I like the yellow-green behind the more traditional spring green in this simple, lovely card from Ilee Papergoods.
Kate & Birdie Paper Company’s boxed notes are lovely in chartreuse and taupe-ish gray.
This beautiful bee calendar from Hammerpress also pairs chartreuse and gray.
Like his tomato-red panda pal, this meerkat from Ella Leach Designs uses an on-trend color to create a fun-yet-refined set of boxed notes.
Olive and blue were often paired together at the show, as in this card from Sugarcube Press.
Simple, pretty letterpressed chartreuse lettering makes this card from Moglea a perfect option for celebrating brand new people.
