The Year Ahead – Calendars, Part 2

I still haven’t made my all-important office calendar purchase decision. Here are more options I’m considering, photographed at last year’s National Stationery Show (with, again, apologies for the poor image quality)….

Benjamin Paul

Benjamin Paul’s illustrations and letterpress really do deserve the word “exquisite,” and their 2014 Edibles Letterpress Calendar is a gorgeous display of their work. It’s beautifully practical, too: each month is perforated so when the month is done, you can tear off the calendar portion and use the remaining art as a postcard or recipe card. Lovely!

Rifle Paper Co.

I’ve seen Rifle Paper Co. calendars all over the place, this year, and with good reason—they’re pretty art for your wall or desk, and fit well with practically any decor.

Here are two of their 2014 designs: “Travel America” and “Herbs and Spices.” (Please note: the “Herbs and Spices” calendar is not available on their Web site, but is available elsewhere, including here. Also, the colors seem to have changed from the prototype I shot at the NSS; I like them even more, now!)

Mr. Boddington’s Studio

I love the classy sassiness of Mr. Boddington’s Studio’s 2014 Criminels du Monde calendar. It’s unexpected, irreverent, and puts a little slice of cosmopolitan adventure on the wall. It would be criminal not to consider this one. (Ba-dum ching.)

Pei Design

Fresh and fun, Pei Design’s Wall and Paris calendars are a bright, happy addition to any space.

Night Owl Paper Goods

Night Owl Paper Goods has a number of desktop calendars (and one hanging calendar) that suit any footprint or style. We already own the Aquatic Critters calendar (“calendar” was on a certain preschooler’s Christmas list), and it is as adorable as it looks. (The fact that it’s printed on wood means it will probably last the whole year, too, despite living amongst dinosaurs and frequent LEGO catastrophes.)

So, all this leaves me…still on the fence about which calendar is going up, this year. And, there are yet more to consider….
